Two of the above players went on to win further international honours after leaving East Fife. George Aitken won three caps after his transfer to Sunderland and Allan Brown was capped a further eleven times when playing for Blackpool.
In more recent times, both Arnold Dwarika and Craig Demmin were capped at full international level for Trinidad and Tobago whilst signed for East Fife.
Other players who have played for Scotland either before or after playing for East Fife include Gordon Durie, Steve Archibald, Bill Shankly, Jim Harley (Wartime Cap), Sammy Cox, Pat Quinn, Willie Johnston, Tommy Wright, Ernie McGarr, John Martis, Ian Gardiner, Gordon Marshall and Harry Allan.
